Ms. Brandi Blake joins the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Multicultural Education (ODIME) as an Associate Director for Student Engagement for Racial Justice from her home state of South Carolina. In ODIME, Brandi is responsible for educational programming and support for African/African American and Black students. Her purview includes The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. & Black History Month Celebrations, Black Student Graduation and the support of all underrepresented and marginalized groups on Mason’s campus.
Brandi earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from South Carolina State University, a treasured Historically Black University, and her Master of Education degree in Professional Counseling and College Student Affairs from the University of West Georgia. She has dynamic experience in Residence Life, First Year Experience & Orientation, and Diversity, Inclusion and Interfaith initiatives.
Her Gallup strengths include Adaptability, Empathy, Relator, Ideation and Restorative. She enjoys Zumba, cooking and Carolina Panthers football.
