Gabriela Marmolejos is a sophomore student majoring in Health Administration with a concentration Health Systems Management. “Gaby” is also an Honors College student involved with Chase Dreams Not Boys, Honors College Black Ambition and Hispanic Student Association. She is a Peer Health Educator with the Student Support and Advocacy Center (formerly known as WAVES) and volunteers with the American Red Cross.
Gaby was born in Miami, Florida and currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina. Being that her parents were both born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Gaby embraces her Dominican as well as her Hispanic culture. She embodies it through her love of salsa music, cooking Dominican food, speaking Spanish with her family, frequently visiting her roots and (not so secretly) watching Spanish soap operas. She has a slight obsession with tennis, watching/playing it whenever she can. Gaby loves dedicating time to teach English to non-native speakers. She enjoys meeting new people and learning about different cultures.
