"Jae-lynn Tavarez Brown is undergraduate George Mason student, majoring in anthropology with a double-minor in history and African and African American studies. She joined the ODIME & LGBTQ+ office in Fall of 2017. As a student support coordinator, she works with Native American and Indigenous Alliance(NAIA) for Indigenous People's Day in the Fall and with Black, African-Heritage, and Caribbean Coalition(BLACC) for the Black Excellence Gala in the Spring.
Jae-lynn wants to use the things she learns in her field to address systems of inequality in an educational setting one day, whether it may be a college classroom or in a museum. She enjoys visiting DC, watching tv, and spending time with her family."
