Justin is a junior majoring in film and video studies with a concentration in screenwriting and a minor in African and African American Studies. He is set to graduate in May of 2019, but when stressed, he is a firm believer that his true calling is to drop out of school, travel the world, document his experiences on YouTube, and live off the ad revenue made by each video. He has been a popular volunteer and friend of ODIME since Fall 2016, and started working for the office as a student support staff member in Summer 2017.
Some of his interests include writing poetry, creating witty puns, playing basketball, binge-watching Netflix, and researching unconventional philosophies. (What if we’re all in a simulation like the Sims 4?) Justin is also heavily involved as a student leader on campus, having been a member of the Black Student Alliance (BSA) and an executive board member for Collegiate Black Men (CBM) at Mason, as well as his current role as a resident advisor for first-year students.
Outside of his extensive involvement and playful nature, Justin is a true introvert at heart. As some Myers-Briggs INFPs do, he listens to many, but his bodacious personality only comes out for a few. ODIME is the central hub of that few. Still, after a long days of being ‘ExtrAverted,’ he couldn’t be anymore happier than to unplug and recharge from the world in the comfort of his significant others, his blanket, and his pillow.
